What SaveStory accepts

SaveStory works with direct links to individual public Instagram media. Supported links include posts, Reels, active Stories, Highlights, and older TV links. A post or Highlight can return several items, so you can choose among the files that are actually available.

The tool uses one resolve entry point for every page. The separate landing pages help you find the right instructions; they do not create five different download systems.

Links and content SaveStory cannot access

A profile URL is not a downloadable media link. Saved pages, Tagged pages, private posts, expired Stories, deleted media, and content that requires account permission are also outside the supported scope. SaveStory cannot bypass an Instagram privacy setting or restore content that is no longer available.

If a link fails, open the specific media in Instagram and copy its link again. Do not enter an Instagram password or session cookie into this site.

Quality, devices, and usage rights

Returned files use the best available version the service can access. Instagram may already have compressed an upload, so this is not a promise of the creator's camera-original file or a fixed resolution.

SaveStory runs in modern browsers on iPhone, Android, Mac, and Windows. Browser and device settings determine whether the saved file appears in Downloads, Files, or Photos. Only save or reuse media you own or have permission from the rights holder to use.

Why did my Instagram link fail?

The URL may be incomplete, private, expired, removed, restricted, temporarily unavailable or an unsupported profile-like page.

Where does the downloaded file save on my phone?

Check browser downloads or Files on iPhone and iPad. On Android, check Downloads or your browser's download list.

Does SaveStory download original quality?
